ARTISAN ARTS: CALLIGRAPHY

When: September 10 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm | $110/student, plus cost of supplies

Join our experienced artisans in using old time trades and crafts to make unique pieces of art. Explore different mediums and try your hand at skills from long ago. No experience is necessary to participate. 

Please note: this class is part of a series beginning on September 10.

From ancient Arabic and Latin texts to modern-day invitations and certificates, calligraphy has been used by artists to lend imaginstic beauty to the written word. This six-week introductory course will focus on the versatile and most-recognized Italic style of lettering, with an emphasis on pen angle, letter height and spacing.

Dates: Thursdays, September 10 – October 15

Time: 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm

Price: $110/student for 6 weeks of instruction, plus cost of supplies. Ages 14+ only. Must register in advance. Supplies list given at registration.
